Description
Robert Half is hiring Network Administrator for our client in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and entails working on Cisco network environment, managing network equipment, designing network architecture, and maintaining systems according to requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Providing SME support for our Cisco network environment, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security
• Managing network equipment and technology tools to ensure optimal performance
• Performing analysis of network needs and contributing to the design of network architecture, integration, and installation
• Consistently monitoring the performance of network systems and maintaining them according to set requirements
• Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures while upholding IT infrastructure standards
• Researching and recommending innovative, automated approaches for network and system administration tasks where possible
• Providing Tier 2 and other support as requested from the Service Desk or in case of events, investigating and troubleshooting issues
Requirements
• Must hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Cisco Networking and Cisco Wireless is essential
• Experience with Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure is expected
• Strong understanding of VLAN and Cisco Catalyst Switches is necessary
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Cisco CCNA is preferred
• Comptia Network+ certification is an advantage
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Palo Alto Networks is beneficial
• Knowledge of Meraki systems is a plus
