Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Helium Sourcing Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania or office in Houston, TX.

This position is responsible for strategic helium and rare gas sourcing activities. The role has direct responsibility for working with energy companies to develop new sourcing opportunities worldwide, as well as maintaining and managing existing sources for helium, xenon, krypton and neon. The scope of the role is very broad in nature and the position requires extensive interfaces with engineering, operations, legal, finance, tax, and treasury, requiring superior interpersonal and influence skills.

Principal Accountabilities: * Develop business relationships within both Air Products and supplier organizations within the oil and gas industry in order to support Air Products' long term growth plans * Execute source process by developing, negotiating, implementing, and sustaining designated supply contracts consistent with business requirements * Manage the on-going business relationships with specific suppliers and government agencies * Develop and execute specific targeted helium sourcing and purchasing plans * Coordination with global business areas to align long term demand with sourcing strategies * Work closely with supported commercial functions, supply chain and global locations to ensure security and effective total cost of supply * Manage supplier performance and maintain interface within supplier's organization

Critical Skill Sets: * Buying / selling / closing / influence / persuasion skills * Customer relationship management skills * Organization and negotiation skills * Product-line and industry knowledge (Refinery, Gas Production and Chemical)

Qualifications: * BS degree in business, engineering or related field is required * MBA and/or international business exposure is highly recommended * At least 10 years of commercially oriented business experience dealing with complex negotiations and knowledge of the Industrial Gas industry * Ability to travel (domestic and international) to up to 20% of the time
