Description
The Accountant will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support the company’s financial goals by performing a variety of accounting tasks. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or applicable standards.
Manage general ledger entries, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payroll and prepare payroll reports as needed.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist with audits by preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
Manage and monitor company expenses, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and support documentation.
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Provide support for month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant certification preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience; experience in [industry, if relevant] preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
