Robert Half Systems Administrator in Allen, Texas
Description We are in the banking industry, located in Allen, Texas, and we are seeking a Systems Administrator. This role involves managing the design, purchase, installation, repair, administration, and support of new telecommunication and network technologies, as well as datacenter products. This includes voice communications systems, servers, host systems, workstations, and LAN/WAN systems.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the design, purchase, installation, repair, and support of all elements of the Network and IS Operations facilities.
• Handle the administration, repair, and maintenance of telecommunication equipment, services, and phone systems.
• Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems affecting the Data Center and IS Operations performance.
• Ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
• Ensure installations of servers, host systems, routers, firewalls, Internet gateway equipment, personal computers, printers, print servers, software, and a variety of network equipment are installed properly.
• Keep configuration inventory current for disaster recovery planning.
• Assist in the documentation of all Data Center infrastructure.
• Alert relevant parties of any Network, Server, or IS Operations failure or degradation and assist in performing corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to Information Systems policies, procedures, and standards.
• Identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
• Provide third level support for Helpdesk support tickets.
• Assist with IS Operations responsibilities as needed.
Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Proficiency in Active Directory Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Systems Administrator role within the banking industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is expected
• Extensive experience with Active Directory is required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot systems issues
• Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with team members
• Demonstrable ability to manage and maintain server infrastructure
• Experience in network and data security
• Ability to perform system backups and recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
