Actalent Senior Process Engineer in Allen, Texas

Description:

  • Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates standard techniques, procedures and criteria to meet project requirements for new product development or enhancement. (45%)

  • Analyzes equipment and process to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. (40%)

  • Determine root cause analysis and testing activities to successfully meet requirements of project. (10%)

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements. (5%)

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Description

Join our dynamic Semiconductor EPI Manufacturing facility as a Process Engineer and contribute to the development and optimization of our semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes for the epitaxial growth of semiconductor materials.

• Analyze and interpret process data to identify areas for improvement, yield enhancement, and cost reduction.

• Collaborate with equipment engineering and production teams to introduce new technologies and process improvements into production.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve yield.

• Design and execute process experiments to validate and optimize process parameters for quality and productivity improvements.

• Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, defect rates, and equipment utilization, to identify areas for improvement.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to operators and technicians in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

• Planning and directing initiatives that improve the Performance of the Fab and company.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, with specific expertise in epitaxial growth techniques preferred.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment, such as epitaxy reactors, and metrology tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.

• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) methods.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and find root cause.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and process improvement.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to collaborate well with others and work in a team environment.

• Familiarity with engineering practices

• Strong software skills in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, as well as experience using data mining software such as JUMP.
