Become a Power System Application Engineer 2 at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will work with a team to develop & implement critical Real-Time Power System Applications, work with vendor to resolve application issues. You will maintain existing Remedial Action Schemes (RAS) and develop new expansion projects using C, C++, and C#.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Real-Time Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) applications on Energy Management System (EMS) and Unified Analytic Platform (UAP) on Centralize Remedial Action Scheme (CRAS).
Perform tier 3 support on sophisticated technical issues associated with Real-Time RAS applications.
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
Two or more years of engineering experience.
Three or more years of experience in developing and maintaining complex programs using C, C++, or C#.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving system technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and technical knowledge of SCADA and control systems.
Good understanding of infrastructure and networking capabilities to design highly resilient systems.
Experience with Linux shell scripting.
Experience with network traffic analysis.
Experience with GOOSE (Generic Object Oriented Substation Event) protocol.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
