SUMMARY

The Specialist, B2C Flagship Content at SHRM supports the development and execution of content strategies tailored to engage SHRM’s B2C audiences effectively. This role contributes to various content creation initiatives and collaborates with team members to enhance SHRM's branding efforts.B2C Flagship Content is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and management of SHRM’s B2C flagship content.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation Support: Assist in the planning and execution of content strategies to captivate targeted B2C audiences, including the creation of articles, videos, podcasts, case studies, and guides.

  • Production Assistance: Participate in the development, creation, and editing of diverse content formats, ensuring adherence to quality standards and brand consistency.

  • Collaborative Efforts: Work alongside internal teams and external partners to ensure unified messaging and understand the specific needs and feedback from B2C audiences.

  • Project Assistance: Help manage content project timelines, coordinate tasks with agencies and internal teams, and track budget expenditures.

  • Research and Creative Input: Engage in the research and brainstorming processes to contribute fresh ideas for compelling content that highlights industry trends and professional insights.

  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry changes, professional development, and global events to recommend content strategy enhancements and the adoption of new media technologies.

  • Network Development: Assist in building relationships with industry experts and key stakeholders to access exclusive insights and information.

  • Performance Tracking: Support the evaluation of content performance, utilizing data to propose methods for increasing engagement and expanding reach.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as needed to support the team's goals.  

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • 3 years of experience in content creation, with a focus on B2C audiences.

  • Experience in digital media, including SEO, social media marketing, and content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager preferred). 

  •  A portfolio of work, including short & long form pieces.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Solid understanding of content marketing strategies, and audience engagement strategies.  

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) capable of crafting engaging and clear narratives for a diverse audience. 

  • Analytical ability to simplify complex information into relatable and engaging content.

  • Proficiency in digital media tools, storytelling techniques, and content management systems.

  • Awareness of the HR industry’s major issues and trends, with the skill to convert complex topics into understandable content.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects effectively.

  • Strong collaborative skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Passionate about SHRM's mission and committed to advancing the HR profession.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of performing essential duties with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation.

  • Occasional light lifting may be necessary.

Work environment

  • Work is primarily conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.

  • Expected office presence of 3 days per week.

  • Minimal travel requirements, less than 10%

The hiring range for this position is $68,000 to $80,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
