Plexus Scientific Corporation Midlevel Geologist in Alexandria, Virginia
Plexus Scientific Corporation seeks a Midlevel Geologist or Engineer with 5-7+ years of applied site Investigation and remediation experience.
This position will primarily support environmental investigation and remediation projects with an emphasis on CERCLA and RCRA processes.
What you'll do:
The work will encompass both field and office work. Field activities may include supervising and conducting environmental field investigations, long term monitoring, documenting field conditions, supporting remediation activities through sampling activities, working with Sr. level geologist on the development of conceptual site models, oversight of remediation activities such as soil excavations, amendment injections, and operation of remediation systems. Office activities may include preparing for and coordinating field events, management of field and laboratory data, development of graphics depicting site investigation activities, developing pricing for future work, developing period and unique reports, studies, and plans.
Travel for site visits and meetings will be required.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental or civil engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs.
Must have adequate experience in field work, workplan development, task management, data analysis, and report preparation.
Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving.
Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
PG or PE registration preferred.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
Effective technical writing and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Access, ArcGIS a plus.

The Salary Range for this role is $65,000 - $105,000.
Actual salary is dependent on background and experience.
