We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Copy Editor to lead our communication efforts to join our government customer team with the DAU. The Senior Copy Editor will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance brand reputation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in communication management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview: The Senior Copy Editor creates and manages high-quality content across various platforms to drive engagement, brand awareness, and customer acquisition. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to implement a content strategy and ensure all content aligns with the customer's goals and messaging. This role, coupled with content creation, involves coordinating objectives. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with a strong understanding of content marketing and a detail-oriented organizer with excellent project management skills and experience in experience in leveraging conferences and other events as outreach opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and publish content for internal and external websites, blogs, and other digital assets.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives customer engagement.

  • Optimize content for search engines by implementing best practices in SEO, including keyword research, meta descriptions, and on-page optimization.

  • Monitor content performance, analyze data, and provide insights to improve future content strategies.

  • Work with designers and other content creators to produce multimedia content, including presentations and infographics.

  • Ensure all content adheres to company guidelines, branding, and tone of voice.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging content marketing practices.

  • Coordinate customer-related events, including logistics and venue selection.

  • Collaborate with teams to develop promotional strategies and materials for event publicity.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in communications.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or a similar role.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to generate creative ideas for content and marketing campaigns.

  • Effective written, communication, presentation, and computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Ability to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently.

  • Detail-oriented; strong analytical and time-management skills; and an ability to problem solve difficult and complex issues.

  • S olid presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, coupled with the ability to set and recommend priorities.

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Experience managing communication campaigns in a military environment
