What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to join our Subsystem & Digital Electronics team. The selected candidate will collaborate with our design teams to finalize requirements from the system level down to design implementation. Activities will then move on to verification of the design. In this role, you will have the opportunity to achieve as an individual and team contributor and gain new skills. The Mobile Guardian Transporter (MGT) program is baselined to meet First Production Unit (FPU) in 2029. Join us to develop creative solutions to unique national security challenges!

On any given day you will be called upon for:

  • Requirements management, interface control, and CONOPs coordination

  • Requirements compliance assessments, non-compliance resolution/disposition

  • Verification planning, support for execution, and products

  • Work across teams on system and subsystem issues and assessments

  • Participation in critical project processes (change control, nonconformance, etc.)

  • Baseline and change control leadership and guidance

  • Preparation and coordination of project reviews; review guidance, technical review

  • Define and provide status of system engineering activities

  • Collaboration with System AI&T/Qualification and Quality teams

  • Specialty engineering coordination: Safety, Trust, Vulnerability, Cyber, Reliability, Parts, Materials and Processes, Surveillance, and Human Factors

    Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$109,300 - $217,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant STEM field plus five years’ relevant experience; master’s degree in above stated field plus 1-year relevant experience

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Demonstrated experience with requirements flow down, interface definition and verification planning

  • Comprehensive knowledge of system engineering processes, products and tools

  • Demonstrated strong organization and planning skills

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)

  • Possess a strong dedication to positive teaming dynamic, strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented with a keen focus on customer service

  • Experience working with design teams to realize product

About Our Team:

The MGT Project Management and System Engineering department is responsible for establishing and leading project management and system engineering processes and products required to enable the Mobile Guardian Transporter (MGT) which is the next-generation replacement for the existing Safeguard Transporter (SGT). The MGT will assure the safety and security of cargo and containers, protect the public, meet nuclear explosive safety requirements associated with accident scenarios and reduce the risk to new security threats. The MGT is a highly complex system with demanding technical, safety, and security performance requirements.

Security Clearance:
