What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking highly motivated Production Planning Control Specialist to become part of the New Mexico Stockpile Technical Basis Team. We execute design, development and qualification activities associated with the US Nuclear Stockpile. You will have the opportunity to participate/lead a range of projects that span the lifecycle of test hardware including product definition and planning of inventory levels, data collection, and hardware management for component and full-scale system level testing.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Participate in the lifecycle planning for hardware required for the D5LE2 missile compatibility assessment.

  • Manage receiving, planning, provisioning, and maintaining an inventory of hardware in Aras HAMS (Hardware Asset Management System).

  • Coordinate with technical test leads on component and system hardware deliverables, schedules, and status.

  • Support test activities such as reporting, Material Requisition Schedules (MRS), deliverable reports, kitting components, managing inspection reports.

  • Identify and report component and system hardware discrepancies (ex. Pedigree or quantity mismatches).

  • Coordinate disposition and archival of component and system hardware documentation.

  • Create documentation such as hardware traveler forms, data forms, and inspection reports.

  • Work with test leads to disposition hardware.

    Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant will be required to work onsite Full-time in Albuquerque, NM. Some travel to locations including, but not limited to Livermore CA, Los Alamos, NM, Amarillo, TX, Washington, DC and Kansas City, MO is required for this position.

Salary Range:

$57,400 - $128,900

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or STEM, or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role.

  • Ability to participate as requested in random polygraph testing

Qualifications We Desire:

About Our Team:

Department 2216 is strongly integrated with the W76-1 and W76-2 systems (Department 2222), W76-0 systems (Department 2227), W88 systems (Department 2224), Stockpile Logistics (2217), and W88 ALT 370 (Department 2218) and lead all operational activities for hardware management and engineering leadership for all Navy test body assembly & disassembly activities. Collaborative activities related to development and qualification of the joint flight bodies, Mk4B, and ISA development programs involve Department 2216.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
