Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Albany, New York

Description We are providing a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant based in Albany, New York. This role is within the administrative sector and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, creating and maintaining filing and tracking systems, and participating in special projects/tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling, typing, and other related duties

• Handle internet research and assist in meeting deadlines

• Create, organize and maintain electronic and/or paper filing and tracking systems

• Generate and maintain manual and electronic reports

• Collaborate with other staff to complete special projects/tasks

• Participate in committees or ad hoc groups as needed

• Function as confidential assistant to the Chief Compliance Officer

• Create systems and assist in monitoring agency compliance activities

• Assist with new employee orientations

• Handle answering inbound calls and provide customer service

• Perform data entry tasks and manage email correspondence

• Schedule appointments and manage Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Ability to answer inbound calls and handle both inbound and outbound calls professionally

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage customer queries or complaints

• Experience in data entry and ability to enter data accurately with attention to detail

• Proficient in email correspondence, with ability to draft and respond to emails professionally

• Ability to schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently when necessary

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion

• Prior experience in an administrative assistant position is a plus.
