The Department of Visual & Performing Arts at Russell Sage College (sage.edu) seeks applications for teaching positions in the Interior + Spatial Design BFA program at the rank of Adjunct Instructor. Ideal candidates will have college-level teaching experience with interest and ability to teach principles of interior design, perspective and rendering, computer-aided design, materials and applications, lighting, building systems & codes, history of architecture, and/or sustainable building design to prepare students for NCIDQ certification.

Accredited since 1978 by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), Russell Sage College offers numerous creative degrees in visual and performing arts including Art + Extended Media (BFA), Interior + Spatial Design (BFA), Graphic + Media Design (BFA), Expressive Arts in Mental Health (BS), Musical Theatre (BS), and Theatre (BA).

Adjunct compensation is currently $900 per credit hour (depending on staffing needs and enrollment).

Job Requirements:

MS or MFA degree preferred with at least one degree in interior design. Applicants with a BFA degree must demonstrate equivalent working experience and demonstrated knowledge of interior design practices. College-level teaching experience preferred. Must be available to teach day and evening classes.
