With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

The Pulmonary Clinic in conjunction with the Respiratory Care department provides quality therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for our patients with acute chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. Our team is composed of physicians, pulmonologists and other health care professionals who work together to diagnose and treat diseases of the chest and lungs with an emphasis on treating asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease and respiratory failure. Our staff performs computer-based pulmonary physiology studies, bronchoscopies, bronchial provocation testing, and exercise oxygen desaturation studies. The department also has a complete computer-based pulmonary function lab.

As a Medical Assistant in our Pulmonology clinic, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
