About the role
Reporting to the Supply Applications Manager, this strategic and hands-on role is responsible for evolving Treasury Wine Estates’ (TWE) core winemaking systems. You’ll design, develop, and implement robust solutions that drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and support both long-term strategy and daily production operations.
Develop, optimise, and maintain core winemaking software solutions.
Translate business needs into functional specifications to facilitate development of high-impact applications.
Integrate and manage data flows across key business systems.
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure performance.
Create documentation, drive continuous improvements, and lead projects.
About you
You’re a problem-solver with a passion for technology and a knack for translating business needs into smart software solutions. Adaptable and proactive, you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working collaboratively to drive system improvements.
Demonstrated expertise in industry-standard programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, with experience using frameworks like node.js, and familiarity with version control systems like Git with a willingness to learn other technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for system improvements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experienced in working within cross-functional teams, using collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams to align technical solutions with business goals. Skilled at creating clear documentation, presentations, to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Well-organized, able to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
Hands-on knowledge of relational databases, and data integration using SQL, and familiarity with integrating IoT devices, SCADA systems, or ERP platforms in manufacturing settings, or expertise in winery-specific software is a plus.
