Job Description:
Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling products and services to the global minerals industry for over 130 years. As the industry’s only integrated drilling services and products provider, we combine engineering excellence, global manufacturing facilities and the most experienced drilling services group in the business.
Working as part of a Global FP&A team, this position is accountable to the APAC Drilling products business to provide strategic financial insights and coordinate key planning and reporting processes across the region. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the business and influence decision-making to optimise the division’s strategic plan.
Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Deliver insightful reporting and analytics to guide decision-making and drive business performance,
Work with global and local teams to prepare and coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness,
Support key stakeholders to manage their requirements for new management reporting and financial modelling,
Providing education to management on the Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow; including forecasting,
Support month-end close processes and analysis,
Work to create and improve processes and systems for optimal outcomes,
Provide advanced financial analytics as well as competitor and trend analysis to the Senior Leadership Team,
Ad-hoc projects as required.
A few other things we’re looking for:
Degree in Finance, Commerce or Accounting or related field.
Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CPA).
Understanding of the Drilling industry highly advantageous, but not essential.
Previous experience within large, complex organisations.
Demonstrated experience in driving business outcomes through financial and commercial insight.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
Advanced Excel skills. Previous use of ERP systems including Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle well-regarded but not crucial.
