The Opportunity
Based in our Corporate Abbott Park, IL office this role will provide full range of liquidity management, banking back office, compliance and financial leadership for Global Treasury Operations, other Abbott Businesses and Affiliates. Direct the Treasury Operations cash management activities for United States, US Headquarter and Finance Companies. Manage issuance of letter of credit and guarantees for Abbott global operations. In addition, lead the global derivative compliance efforts and manage credit card merchant accounts portfolio. Develop liquidity management models for United States cash management operations. Support acquisition/special projects as required.
What You Will Work On:
Plan, manage and direct all Daily Bank Account Liquidity – Direct the proper bank account funding for more than 70 US based bank accounts: Direct efforts for proper daily bank account balances, cash activity, borrowing and investment for over $30 billion in annual cash flow.
Directing timely confirmation of $150 billion in FX trades on an annual basis
Manage $100 million Letter of Credit portfolio
Directing global derivative trade compliance and serve as subject matter expert
Direct Abbott Global credit card merchant services relationship and account set up.
Co-management of Abbott excess cash portfolio
Manage SAP Symphony Treasury module and Misys system set up and configuration.
Act as liaison between Global Treasury Operations, IT and financial third-party partners
Assist Abbott global operations with all banking needs
Maintain appropriate bank accounts and banking relationships
Interface with external banks.
Ensure adequate available bank daylight overdraft limits
Manage global letters of credit and bank guarantees issuance process to support Abbott Global affiliate operations
Ensure appropriate controls are developed and maintained
Manage SAP Treasury Business Partner set up and be a global SAP roll out Treasury Lead
Direct global SWIFT implementation efforts and coordinate with partner financial institutions
Direct BRMEdge and BAWeb system maintenance and upgrades
Lead a team to execute key Corporate and Treasury objectives and ensure optimal support for the businesses. Recruit, retain, and mentor the team by providing career development support and feedback to sustain a high performing staff.
Lead and assist management with ad hoc projects and strategy execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Economics and Accounting
Minimum of 5-7 years Treasury experience is required with 3-4 years in Treasury Management
Results-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills who can work effectively and independently with all levels and across various functions of the corporation.
Individual is expected to perform responsibilities with a high degree of autonomy.
Individual should have well-rounded balance of financial analysis, accounting, investments, Foreign Exchange and system skills.
Experience with MS Office, SAP, TMS, Misys and SWIFT strongly preferred.

The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
