The Opportunity:

We have an immediate opening for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to be located at either Abbott Park, IL or Willis Tower, Chicago, IL.

As the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, you will provides FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to the Corporate Business & Technology Services (BTS) organization and oversee financial processes and activities while providing analytics to support strategic business decisions.

What You'll Work On:

  • Serves as a business partner for several business units within Corporate BTS organization, including Business Solutions and Services, International IT, and Medical Devices IT.

  • Leveraging Abbott Shared Services organization, oversees monthly close activities, provides clear and meaningful financial reporting and commentary. Ensures compliance and champions internal controls and procedures.

  • Develops forecasts and prepares supporting analytics and review materials for presentation to Chief Information officer (CIO). Manages risks and opportunities through the use of external and internal signals and data. Develops contingency plans.

  • Partners with the business to define, review and analyze the projects. Assists with preparation and review of Requests for Capital Expenditure (RCEs). Provides analytical support for contracts’ negotiations.

  • Drives continuous improvements and simplification Ss in financial and business processes.

  • Manages a team of two senior financial analysts. Attracts talent and actively promotes positive team environment by coaching and mentoring. Prioritizes development and continuous learning.

Education and Experience You Will Bring:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

  • At least 7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting

  • Supervisory / management experience

  • Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP.

  • Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills, ability to interact with senior leadership

  • Ability to synthesize complex, technical issues and summarize with relevancy and clarity.

  • Ability to manage many competing priorities and execute in a pressurized environment.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
