The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location.
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our Fixed Asset Team within the US Center of Excellence (COE) HUB and Shared Services Team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing teams.
What You'll Work On:
Supervise and manage the Fixed Asset Team, consisting of 4 employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of fixed asset transactions.
Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
Coordinate with the COE HUB and Shared Services US Team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing fixed asset management and reporting.
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to foster professional growth and development.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audits related to fixed assets.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in fixed asset records and transactions.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiencies.
Be responsible for the physical asset verification.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets.
Experience with various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Experience managing teams and the ability to work across different divisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS).
Knowledge of fixed asset management best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Experience with auditing and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
Knowledge of developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Experience with various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and the ability to work across different divisions.
Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with shared services and global COE operations.

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
