Microsoft Corporation Cloud Solution Architect - Cloud Native Applications in São Paulo, Brazil

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Cloud Solution Architect - Cloud Native Applications focused on Azure Cloud-Native Application Services to join our Customer Success Unit team! This customer-facing position is a hands-on technical role spanning across design, build, and operations to remove customer technical obstacles and adoption challenges, leading and orchestrating all technical resources necessary for the evolution and completion of the project with the best possible success for the customer.

Our team interacts closely with customers, product groups, global field roles as well as senior leadership team. This is a highly dynamic, high pace position requiring technical depth, agility and independent decision making while dealing with prioritization. Responsibilities

  • Gather customer insights through design collaboration sessions; and map architecture and digital transformation solutions to adapt business models, plans, and solutions to insights.

  • Act as the voice of the customer by sharing new feedback, gaps, blockers, insights, resources across communities to track, add, and prioritize, using established channels.

  • Leverage and champion an existing architecture approach to achieve Microsoft's agreed commitments to the customer. Identify growth opportunities based on knowledge of customer needs.

  • Lead customer projects that implement technical architecture(s). Provide thought leadership technical architecture design, development, and deployment and supports/drives the customer/partner at the end of pre-sales and during implementation.

  • Adapt methodology and apply governance to identify, communicate, and minimize business and technical risks (e.g. Well-Architected Framework, Enterprise Scale Landing Zone, Cloud Adoption Framework). Define customer/partner conditions of success, adhere to quality assurance, and calculate risks while designing and/or delivering solutions.

  • Generate and share new ideas for changes and improvements of existing intellectual property (IP), technologies, and processes for designated customers/partners with the team and internal communities. Drive opportunities for IP re-use, best practice sharing, and consumption.

  • Develop and expand existing impactful relationships with customers and partner/MCS architects and technical specialists, technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders.

  • Understand the competitor's architecture solutions and identify Microsoft's strengths over competitive solutions to drive conversations with customers/partners and convince them of solution.

  • Participate in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and share learnings with the internal team. Act as a mentor to junior colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and cloud/infrastructure technologies

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and cloud/infrastructure technologies

  • Fluency in both Brazilian Portuguese and English .

  • Ability to visit customers in Sao Paulo.
