TITLE: Software Engineer
EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc.
DUTIES: Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby and Java; Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it; Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design; Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation; Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack; Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science or related and 2 years of Software engineering experience or related.
Position also requires the following:
2 years of experience in implementation of object oriented design patterns.
2 years of professional experience in developing and deploying backend code in Java or Kotlin.
2 years of experience in running, debugging, and remediating operational incidents.
2 years of experience in designing, developing and deploying software in a production environment.
2 years of experience in using AWS.
2 years of experience with dependency injection using frameworks such as Dagger or Guice.
SALARY: $155,071-$165,071/year and standard employee benefits.
