JPMorgan Chase Executive Director - Advocacy Lead for Chase Cards in New York, New York

JPMorgan Chase is hiring an Executive Director to lead the Card & Connected Commerce Advocacy Solutions Group. The Executive Director will support JPMC's Card business within JPMC's Consumer & Community Banking division.

The Card & Connected Commerce Advocacy Solutions Group supports Chase's ongoing advocacy efforts, bringing the full force of our business resources, partnerships, data and thought leadership to bear to help shape the conversation around existing and new policies. The Advocacy Group is also instrumental in helping our business ensure our products and services are designed to provide the greatest value for our customers regardless of public policy changes.

As an Executive Director - Advocacy Lead for Chase Cards within the Card & Connected Commerce Advocacy Solutions Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Chase's ongoing advocacy efforts. You will work closely with various teams and business leaders across the firm to ensure our advocacy goals are embedded in all we do. This includes product design, stakeholder engagement, and industry engagement. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the conversation around existing and new policies, and ensuring our products and services provide the greatest value for our customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Engage with senior JPMC executives and key leaders of internal lines of business, specifically Chase Card Services to understand and advocate on behalf of key business priorities

  • Link Chase's card product strategy to longer term outcomes through close collaboration with product leads

  • Establish robust business cases and resource prioritization plans to bring new products features to market and foster a growing number of partnerships with industry groups

  • Track progress of external advocacy initiatives and results; measure effectiveness of advocacy in terms of actual outcomes with data-driven indicators and OKRs

  • Support implementation strategy of joined programs (participation, sponsorships bilateral programs, exclusive products) across multiple teams in support of advocacy

  • Ensure Chase representation in industry groups corresponds to level of advocacy need

  • Strategically and systematically prepare and distribute advocacy content to external and internal groups

  • Develop and implement strategic, integrated communications campaigns in support of advocacy priorities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in business management, advocacy, communications, public affairs, policy and/or regulatory development and analysis

  • Ability to design and implement data-driven tracking indicators to measure effectiveness of ongoing programs and initiatives, delivering insights to orient future initiatives

  • Project management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, policy acumen, and strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills, including both public speaking and the ability to engage with senior executives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of financial services and business issues, with a focus on credit cards

  • Ability to excel and maintain a positive attitude in a high-performance, fast-paced professional environment, while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
