Description:
Unit Tech/Clerk works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a RN. A Unit Tech/Clerk is expected to assist the patient in maintaining good hygiene, activities of daily living and to support quality of patient care.

What you will need:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Current BLS certification.
Registered Nurse Aide (CENA) in the State of MI OR current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of a nursing fundamentals course. Must provide evidence of current nursing program enrollment on an annual basis.
Additional certifications considered: EMT/Medical First Responder, Medical Assistant, LPN.
Equivalent work experience and/or equivalent training may also be considered.
What you will do:
D emonstrates ability to care for the needs of patients in the department.
Assists with personal hygiene as appropriate.
Measures and records all patient intake.
Collects urine, sputum and stool specimens and properly labels patient specimens.
Measures vital signs and documents appropriately
Demonstrates proper infection control measures.
Perform specialty procedures as assigned: wound care, simple splinting, EKG’s, etc.
