Advisory Architect, Consulting Solutions
POSITION PROFILE
The Advisory Architect, Consulting Solutions is responsible for the development and delivery of consulting services (Discovery). The Advisory Architect, Consulting Solutions is involved in both pre-sales and post-sales settings that relate to complex business process analysis and optimization engagements in data, composition, print, inserting and mail/postal environments. The re-engineering of clients' business processes will many times be based on the technologies represented in RICOH's solution or sourcing portfolio. Therefore, the Advisory Architect, Consulting Solutions will be required to have a detailed understanding of RICOH's various hardware/software offerings, industry regulations, postal rules as well as our Professional Services capabilities.
This position requires the ability to map and analyze current business processes, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency improvement & cost savings through process modeling. The deliverable from this data gathering will be the creation of a compelling report, ROI/TCO and presentation based on key financial and business objective data points, while being mindful of the client's corporate culture. The report must be presented to executive management in a clear and compelling manner, demonstrating reasonable investment payback periods.
The incumbent must possess: a high degree of creativity, leadership, organizational and process analysis skills; must have a proven track record with presenting to Executive Management in both pre-sales and formal engagement settings. The Advisory Architect, Consulting Solutions will possess a unique ability to work in a high-pressure sales environment while bridging to the technical IT Architects within RICOH and the customer environments.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Solution Executive sales team with pre-sales support.
Assist the Advance Services Practice Director with developing Statement of Work documents as needed.
Function as the project lead in client discovery activities, providing guidance and direction to the Solution Executive assigned to support the engagement.
Attain quarterly targets.
Provide knowledge and expertise in the data handling, print, finishing and mailing processes.
Identify new solution opportunities based on client feedback, industry analysis, and new features incorporated into existing offerings.
Attain profitable engagements as defined by the services fee and Change Control methodology presented in the Statement of Work
Participate and present in document industry trade shows and work floor.
Comply with RICOH's standard event documentation and control policies.
Additional Pay Details
Compensation Range
$ 117,000 to 145,000
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Requires completion of a four-year degree and/or knowledge typically gained through attainment of a four-year degree.
Requires six to ten years' experience in the areas of business process analysis and re-engineering, preferably leveraging composition, print and POD knowledge, workflow automation, variable data document, output management, web-to-print, MIS systems and postal processing technologies.
Leadership and management experience required in operations or environment
Demonstrated experience by providing samples of written analysis work.
National and Major Accounts selling experience.
Requires a valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage per RICOH's policy.

Requires 50-60% travel within the USA.

Excellent listening skills are necessary.

Frequent contact with both internal and external customers requires the ability to give and receive feedback, recognize and act on customer needs, building rapport and gaining closure. Interacts with Administration and Service personnel regarding sales commissions, rental billing and deliveries. Frequent contact with other departments, vendors and customers requires tact, charisma, and the ability to negotiate. Must be able to communicate clear and concise expectations and goals and provide feedback on results.
Internal contacts via phone and in person with sales representatives, Sales Managers, administrative and service personnel, Sales Leader, Marketplace VP for sales leads, delivery, service, developing sales strategy, and presentations.
External contacts via memos, phone, and in person with all levels of management for presentations, demonstrations and problem solving.
Work has cyclical stress due to monthly goals and deadlines, and daily stress due to the impact the incumbent's decisions have on other people.
Minor physical effort is required, which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing or similar activities.
Most job duties are performed in an office, writing, using the telephone, calculator and computer.
Frequent use of basic keyboard skills/calculator/hand tools, sorting and filing.
