Project Manager Ultrasound Acoustics (Bothell, WA)
As part of Ultrasound R&D, the incumbent is a project champion, responsible for driving and coordinating Clinical and Acoustic activities in support of New Product Development and Launch activities. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, new product development environment.
You are responsible for
Coordinating, budgeting, and scheduling project activities using appropriate project management techniques, technical judgment and interpersonal skills
Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management organizations to define new feature requirements to meet specific clinical applications and market needs.
The successful candidate will actively lead and participate in periodic project meetings, design reviews, and preparing and communicating project overviews and status reports to program management
Job skills & knowledge
Work with the Project Core Team, Acoustics, Clinical, and Product Marketing functions to assure project objectives are defined appropriately
Develop, and assure compliance to, project goals, including project schedule milestones, project budget, product cost targets, and product quality and reliability measures
Lead the proactive identification and mitigation of project risks
Track all issues and action items to closure
Assure project teams follow Quality System and Business Management System processes
Teamwork
An interested and engaged contributor to the team's creative problem solving and technical challenges
Must be a well-organized, self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision and able to meet deadlines
Ability to develop and work with a cross-functional, global project team
Ability to communicate effectively, both with the direct project teams and the greater Ultrasound organization

Ability to flex assignments in order to meet group objectives
Ability to manage multiple concurrent project assignments
Composure, conflict management, timely decision making, listening skills, self-motivation, and perseverance are all requirements of this position
Sound decision-making logic. Think logically and practically when evaluating solutions
Ability to communicate the project status, in a clear manner, to business leadership regarding schedules, risks, budget and resources
Must have the tenacity for combating project challenges (i.e. continuous flow of disrupting events, setbacks, and conflicts of priority)
Facilitate the recognition of project risks, define corrective actions and track project to closure
You're the right fit if:
Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree (BS) in Engineering- Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical or similar discipline, MS desired.
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience project management experience or demonstrated experience managing cost, schedule, resources and risk in order to meet customer needs
Medical Device experience preferred, or experience in a regulated industry environment – aerospace, defense, automotive etc.
Demonstrated successful results in leading technical teams within a matrix organization preferred
Experience managing project resources across multiple geographic locations preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $103,000 to $170,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
