ManpowerGroup Azure Cloud Engineer in Aurora, Colorado

Our client, a Fortune 30 retailer, is seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. This role enables engineering teams to create, test, deploy, and monitor their products in Azure. Application development teams rely on this role to guide them in a consultative and collaborative way through their cloud journey. The ideal candidate will have best practice knowledge of the software development lifecycle and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote; works EST hours

Terms: Long term contract with potential to convert to full time

Pay: $65-70/hr W2

Tech Stack:

  • Role – More focused on creating infrastructure, not as much on application development.

  • Azure – AKS, ADF, MS Entra Id, Cosmos, Azure sql MI, Azure SQL DB, Azure AI/ML, Databricks, Networking, cloud shell

  • GCP

  • Terraform, Ansible

  • GitHub actions

Requirements :

  • 7+ years of relevant infrastructure or software engineering experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with deployment/automation/management tools such as Docker, Terraform

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Networking, Storage, Firewall, Compute, Function, Backup and Azure DevOps

  • K8s, Azure AKS, and Rancher.

  • 3+ years of experience working with, designing, and implementing Azure cloud solutions.

  • 2+ years of experience leading technical proof of concept projects.

  • Automating routine tasks using Ansible, Python, Terraform and Azure CLI for enhanced efficiency.

  • Must have experience working with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, respectively.

  • Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub actions, GitLab, Jenkins, etc. for enterprise-level deployments.

  • Proficient in identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems by determining the true root cause.

  • Capable of performing a wide range of complex tasks and providing support for escalated trouble tickets.

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.

Azure Must haves:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS.

  • Understanding of C4Model. (https://c4model.com/)

  • Understanding and working experience with MS Entra ID.

  • Strong working experience using Terraform to deploy Azure Resources.

  • Strong working experience using GitHub.

  • Experience with of Azure PaaS services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Synapse, Databricks, azure functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos, etc.

  • Experience in designing and analyzing enterprise level Azure Architecture.

  • Experience with Monitoring tools such as Azure monitor, Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus etc.

  • Ability to implement security measures for Azure-based applications and infrastructure.
