Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The role involves working with our accounting department, where you will be tasked with various responsibilities including processing credit applications and maintaining customer credit records. This role offers a contract employment opportunity, ideal for candidates with skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Administration.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Accounting Department with daily invoice entries for Accounts Payable
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
• Handle credit card reconciliations
• Process credit applications
• Maintain and manage tax-exempt certificates
• Oversee weekly payroll tax payments and 401k contributions
• Monitor and maintain the company's website and social media accounts
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge and experience in the construction industry
• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) administration tasks
• Demonstrated ability in using accounting software
• Strong numerical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
